
Healthy eating and active lifestyles are essential for children’s health and wellbeing and it is important that families encourage and practise these behaviours, for life. If you wish to learn about the importance of physical health and healthy eating and how families can be supported to adopt active lifestyles, then this short course could be for you. You may be a parent or someone working in, or thinking of working in, the Child Care sector.

This course is delivered online, utilising e-learning.
Assessment
There are a number of online short-answer questions.
Accreditation
You will receive a YSD digital badge following successful completion of the online questions to highlight your achievement of the learning outcomes.

Progression
You may decide that you want to progress to the Supporting Physical Development and Healthy Eating in the Early Years course if you are working in, or thinking of working in, the Child Care sector, in order to achieve a recognised qualification from Active IQ.
You will be able to access this course at a reduced price upon successful completion of the Healthy Eating and Active Lifestyles for Pre-School Children and Their Families course. Contact us to find out more.
The product fee includes an annual licence for a single user. The user has unlimited access to the e-learning for 12 months from the date of enrolment. After this time, they will need to renew their licence by re-purchasing the product, should they wish to extend their access.
